Field Education

2007 - 2008 Field Instructor Training Course

Required for all new field instructors and task supervisors who have accepted a student intern for the 2007 - 2008 Academic Year.

All Seminars in Field Instruction (SIFI) will take place from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at the Health Services Complex, County of San Diego, Coronado Room, 3851 Rosecrans Street. Registration is 8:15 am - 8:30 am.

  • SIFI III: "Supervisory Attachment Patterns in Field Instruction"

  • SIFI IV: "The Evaluation Process and Termination Issues"
    Friday, November 2, 2007

  • SIFI V: "Cross-Cultural Awareness in the Supervisory Relationship"
    Thursday, November 29, 2007

The Academy of Professional Excellence, SDSU School of Social Work, a BBS provider, offers 3 continuing education units, free of charge, to new field instructors and task supervisors, who are BBS licensed. Licensed field instructors and task supervisors must register before 8:30 am to be eligible to receive Continuing Education Units, and provide the Academy with their license numbers.
