MSW Title IV-E Stipend Program

GOALS OF THE PROGRAM


Class of 2005

  • Encourages highly qualified students to pursue careers in public child welfare, specifically child protective services.
  • Insures these students develop the competencies to offer quality child welfare and social work services.
  • Increases child welfare capacity to serve a diverse population and educate program participants so that they will be able to serve and advocate for culturally different families.
  • Encourages a high retention rate of these students when they are employed in public child welfare.
  • Enhances the collaborative relationships between the School of Social Work and the county Department of Social Services.
