
Representatives from SD County’s PERT (Psychiatric Emergency Response Team), HOT (Homeless Outreach Team), and SIP (Serial Inebriates Program) came and presented to the Mental Health Training Program (now known as the MSW Integrated Behavioral Health Stipend Program) students on 9/23/13.
Sargent Schnell, Office John Leinding and Marla Kingka dedescribed how San Diego County provides a model program of collaboration between Law Enforcement, mental health clinicians and numerous other partners such as NAMI, Public Defenders Office and City Attorney to provide the best outreach possible to individuals struggling with mental illness, addictions and homelessness.
