The School of Social Work at San Diego State University in conjunction with the Division of Global Public Health, University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego) are excited to offer a Joint Doctoral Program in Interdisciplinary Research on Substance Use.
This program is among the first in the nation to uniquely focus on the prevention – broadly defined – of the use and misuse of alcohol, illicit drugs and the enormous social and health related consequences of such use. Prevention includes research studies to develop and evaluate disease prevention and health promotion recommendations and public health programs. The program has a decidedly global health flavor.
