What made you decide to enroll in the School of Social Work at SDSU?
My personal experience with SDSU helped make my decision to enroll for my Masters. I completed my Bachelor’s in Social work at SDSU and had a great experience with the professors and other students. The decision to continue my higher education at SDSU was simple and easy. SDSU has been a great fit and I have already learned so much.
What have been your most memorable experience in the School?
This summer I decided to study abroad in Dublin, Ireland. I was fortunate enough to be accepted and to date it has been one of the most memorable experiments in my life. I learned so much about myself and met amazing people along the way.
What are your plans after graduation?
I am currently an employee of the County of San Diego, Child Welfare Services. I plan on continue to work for the County and hope to promote to a supervisor after graduation. The concentration for my Masters is in Administration and Community development. I plan to use the skills and knowledge I will obtain with my Masters and continue to apply them at work.
What are some of your favorite aspects of the program?
I have enjoyed the professors and group projects that I have been involved in. The school of social worker is always welcoming and offers an array of supp9ort. The campus library is a great place to study and it offers extended hours during finals.
Describe why you would recommend SDSU to potential students.
San Diego State University is a great place to start your higher education with a bachelors or continue your education with a Masters degree. SDSU offer a wide range of programs that are diverse and progressive. Additionally, the campus is close to many attractions San Diego has to offer. There is always something to do on campus, whether you are interested in sports or a concert, SDSU has something for everyone.
