Amalia B. Hernandez has extensive experience in schools, early education and family support services. Fifteen years as a school social worker, mental health consultant to Head Start and family daycare programs has afforded her expertise in systems theory, child welfare and behavorial interventions in school settings. Amalia also worked closely with teachers and administrators to create Bully-Free schools and conflict resolution skills for children and adolescents. In addition, she served as a University lecturer in the PPS specialization at School of Social Work SDSU, and as a field instructor for six years.
