Biography
Dr. Yaghmaee has been teaching social science courses as a part-time lecturer at San Diego State University and San Diego City College since 2006. He has also been holding various leadership positions with Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) of the County of San Diego since 2001. Currently, Dr. Yaghmaee serves as the Deputy Director, responsible for assisting Public Health Officer with the oversight of nearly 500 employees with an annual budget of approximately $105M serving a county of 3.1 million residents.
As a social service administrator, Dr. Yaghmaee has developed programs, lectured, and has served on numerous taskforces, advisory committees, and board of directors for local and state organizations, including the California Department on Aging, San Diego Regional Center, and Academic Senate for California Community Colleges. He brings up-to-date news and real-world knowledge directly into the classroom, inspiring students to persist in social science coursework and careers.
