Field Advisory Board Meeting, August 7, 2019
SDSU’s School of Social Work Field Advisory Board met on August 7, 2019 at Price Philanthropies. Field Advisory Board members offered their input and feedback on developing a mentor program for new field instructors and also discussed ideas for student macro projects in field including nonpartisan voter registration. Those in attendance at yesterday’s meeting were (from right to left): Janelle Mitchell (UCSD Outpatient Psychiatry), Tamara Strohauer (SDSU – Lecturer, Field Faculty, SERVE Coordinator), Joyce DiCicco (Naval Medical Center – Retired), Amalia Hernandez (SDSU – Title IV-E Coordinator, Field Faculty), Stephannie Novitski (HHSA – CWS), Nilanie Ramos (BHS, Clinical Director’s Office), Mary Beth Hadaway (HHSA -CWS, Internship Coordinator), Wiara Jackson (Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center), Jennifer Santos (BHS, Clinical Director’s Office), Rosario Iannacone (Price Philanthropies), Debbie Boerbaitz (Chula Vista Elementary School District – Retired), Kate Fishman Gowan (Mending Matters), Katelyn Yarnold (Lemon Grove School District), Omar Zavalza (Chula Vista Elementary School District), Paul Brazzel (SDSU – PPS-C Coordinator, Field Faculty) and Amanda Lee (SDSU – Director of Field Education).
We thank our Field Advisory Board members for their ongoing commitment and contributions to the social work program.
