Welcome Margaret Chung
Margaret is a first-generation Asian American, born and raised in the north county of San Diego. During her adolescent years, she possessed a strong desire to learn and understand the impact of varying environments and circumstances on shaping an individual person’s self-perception and social identity. She graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and a minor in Chinese. Margaret began her professional career as an Early Education Teacher, utilizing her passion to provide engaging and quality learning experiences to support the early development of children between 10-24 months of age. She advanced into an administration focus in a hybrid role as a Program Assistant/Health Information Specialist at Seneca Family of Agencies, applying her knowledge of child development to advocate for children and families in the permanency population through a trauma-informed lens. She continued on as the Office Manager at Survivors of Torture, International, dedicating her educational and professional background to providing client-centered administrative services to torture survivors, thus strengthening her aspiration to help underserved populations in the San Diego community.
