Congratulations, Silvia Barragán, our new Undergraduate Director of Field Education!
Long-time SDSU School of Social Work lecturer and field faculty member Silvia A. Barragán was recently named the new Undergraduate Director of Field Education for the school! Please join us in congratulating her!
Ms. Barragán earned her MSW at San Diego State University. She has 30 years of experience working in a variety of settings including child welfare, mental health, nonprofit and private practice. She has experience as a Protective Services Worker, Forensic Interviewer, Trainer on Child Abuse Multi-disciplinary Teams and Integrated Team Case Management, Clinician in private practice and a Lecturer at the university level. Prior to her arrival at SDSU, Ms. Barragán was a Lecturer at the Department of Social Work Education, California State University, Fresno, where she served as the Title IV-E Child Welfare Stipend Program Liaison for Tulare and Kings County Child Welfare Services.
