Haleemah Zulali, first-year MSW student, named as the first-year graduate student representative for the California Association of School Social Workers
Please join me in congratulating Haleemah Zulali, a first-year MSW student, in securing her position as the first-year graduate student representative for the California Association of School Social Workers. Haleemah has already demonstrated excellent leadership skills with our student association of school social work. She completed the application this fall to get us recognized as a student group for this year and she wrote for the student success fee. We are hoping it is awarded so that a group of the students (and I) can attend the School Social Work Association of America national conference in Chicago this spring!
In her role as the first-year graduate student representative, she will be on the board for this year and next year. She will be the liaison between students across the state interested in school social work from all the CA universities that offer the PPSC, and our state association. She will attend monthly board meetings, organize and support events held for students, and assist with the yearly state conference.
Thanks so much, Haleemah! We appreciate your organization, enthusiasm, and passion for social work!
