Introducing CEAL the New Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity
Dr. Steven Hooker, Dean of the College of Health and Human Services is pleased to announce the new Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity (CEAL) at San Diego State University, formerly known as the SDSU Center on Aging. CEAL is an inclusive, innovative center that addresses emerging opportunities and challenges for older adults and healthy aging across the lifespan on campus, in research, and in the community. The center facilitated the successful launch of SDSU as the first Age-Friendly University in San Diego in July 2021. CEAL is one of five Research Centers & Institutions in the SDSU School of Social Work. The co-directors are Dr. Jon Won Min, Director of the School of Social Work, and Professor Steve Hornberger, co-director of the Social Policy Institute.
